Rice flour is an affordable skin treatment that you can find in your kitchen. There is a variety of rice oriented skincare on the market but why buy one when you can make it yourself at home

Why do we like rice flour:

– Rice flour is suitable for every skin type.

– Helps restore the elasticity of the skin

– Hydrates and rebuilds moisture

– Improves skin texture over time

– Reduces scars and pigmentation

– Prevents the appearance of spots.

For the masks you need:

You can use brown rice flour or white flour. Generally, brown rice has more nutrients but I only have white flour so I‘m gonna use that.

If you don‘t have rice flour, but you have rice, you can easily make flour with the use of a blender. Put a few cups of rice depending on how much you want to make and blend until you reach a powdery consistency.

You can use rice flour alone or in combination with other ingredients. I will show you a few masks according to your skin type. But if you feel inspired feel free to create your mask.

Rice flour acne mask:

  • 1 tablespoon of rice Flour
  • 1 tablespoon  of honey

Rice flour whitens pigmentation, improves scars, and dries out pimples. Honey soothes the skin, reduces redness, moisturizes, and refreshes the skin.

Another variation suitable for acne is:

  • 1 teaspoon of rice flour
  • 1 teaspoon of neem
  • Half a teaspoon of turmeric
  • 1 tablespoon of plain yogurt

Neem is antifungal and has anti-inflammatory properties. Treats pimples, moisturizes, and exfoliates gently.

Turmeric evens out skin texture, treats acne, lightens scars.

Yogurt fades spots, dries out acne, reduces pigmentation.

For irritated skin:

  • 1 tablespoon of rice flour
  • 1 tablespoon of green tea

Green tea soothes irritated skin, regulates sebum production. Cleans clogged pores, reduces puffiness, and improves the overall skin appearance.

Or

  • 1 tablespoon of rice flour
  • 1 tablespoon of camomile tea

Camomile tea hydrates irritated skin, tightens the pores and balances the production of oils. It gives a natural glow to the skin.

For dry, flaky skin:

  • 1 teaspoon of rice flour
  • 1 teaspoon of olive oil or argan oil
  • 1 teaspoon of honey

For better consistency, pour a few drops of water. If the mask looks too oily and is hard to apply, add more flour.

Argan oil reduces acne, improves circulation, and has anti-inflammatory properties. Soothes dry skin by replenishing the natural oils. It penetrates the skin and hydrates in depth.

Olive oil has many vitamins such as A, E, D which make the skin healthy.  Hydrates and exfoliates by removing skin flakes and keeps the skin soft.

Honey soothes the skin, reduces redness, moisturizes, and refreshes it.

For lightening pigmentation:

  • 1 tablespoon of rice flour
  • 1 tablespoon of yogurt

Yogurt fades spots, dries out acne, reduces pigmentation. It tightens and closes pores, dissolves dead skin cells, and promotes healthy skin.

I love handmade masks and skincare, but I also think self-love is just as important. We should learn how to be good to ourselves and respect ourselves just the way we are. We must take care of our skin because it’s beautiful and we love it, not because of any skin condition that we have.

Choose the most appropriate mask or create your own and put on the timer for 30 seconds. Alternate between saying these two powerful affirmations: “I love my skin“ and “My skin is beautiful“.

Try doing it with a feeling, smile while you’re saying it because what you are feeling at the moment will bring the desired result to you.

Once the timer has finished feel that it‘s done, wait for the mask to dry, and wash it out. How do you feel?  I hope better.

„A change of feeling is a change of destiny“

Neville Goddard.

Change the way you see yourself and your reality will react to this. Having beautiful skin starts from the inside as a feeling and no creams will help you if you don‘t change how you feel while you look in the mirror.

It’s hard to love yourself, but it’s easy to just get started.

I hope you liked this post.
