Do you get the occasional pimples that are too stubborn to go away and you wish you can remove them fast? Aspirin cleans out the pores and reduces any redness almost instantly, dries pimples quickly and has anti-inflammatory properties.
I’m going to share one of my favorite pimple removal tricks that help speed up the process and make those nasty pimples shrink in surprise.
Hey guys, today we’re going to talk about a simple solution which I use whenever I want to dry them out quickly.
It’s called an aspirin mask. You’ve probably heard about it. The aspirin mask is widely discussed on the Internet and is also very controversial. Some people swear by it while others hate it with passion.
Before we go on I want to say that if you should refrain from using this mask if you‘re allergic to aspirin or the ingredients aspiring contains.
I have many other wonderful masks you can try on my site like this one.
We all know that aspirin is a pain reliever, but why did people start putting it on their skin?
Aspirin is a wonderful treatment for painful pimples and under the skin cysts. Aspirin helps to calm angry breakouts and soothes any irritation.
Aspirin contains acetylsalicylic acid which let‘s say is a close relative of salicylic acid. Salicylic acid is a common ingredient in most acne creams. It dries out pimples, cleans the pores thus removing inflammation.
This means that if we use aspirin we should get the same results as using salicylic acid.
But why so many people are against the aspirin mask. As mentioned above, aspirin is chemically close to salicylic acid. What is different is that the concentration of acid is unknown, unstable and you can end up with chemical burns.
That has never happened to me so I don‘t speak from experience but some people reported that happening to them and I am obliged to mention it. The only thing I noticed is that it can dry your skin quickly so it’s best to stick by using it only as a pimple treatment.
To ensure your skin can handle it do a patch test first.
How to make the aspirin mask:
You need one aspirin tablet.
Add a few drops of water to activate it.
You can put a bit of honey, clay or use rose water instead for a better result.
Apply thoroughly on the pimple and let it sit for 10 to 15 min. Wash with water and put on some moisturizer after.
If this is your first time here you should know that I believe combining skincare with self-love not only helps to improve your skin but also builds your self-esteem. It teaches you how to be more compassionate to yourself and truly find that inner love you need.
Today I choose a self-love exercise that suits the occasion.
I suppose if you are reading this post, there is a pimple you want to remove and you want to do it quickly. Life doesn‘t just stop because a pimple has decided to invade your privacy.
Maybe you’re not dealing with a small pimple, but one of those pesky cysts that you can feel brewing under your skin and you know that one week later they’ll still be there.
I have such a cyst right now. It’s finally visible so I thought of the aspirin mask which did wonders. The redness is reduced and it doesn’t look so swollen.
But what I want to tell you is that a pimple doesn’t define you. The truth is no one notices and cares. People have their insecurities to worry about. They are too busy to think about yours.
Don‘t go into panic mode. The cyst is there and the more attention you give it, the more time it would stay. Remove your attention from the problem and onto the desired result.
In such cases, people mistakenly use everything they have and have read on the Internet that helps. Now please stop for a moment. Breathe. This is how you dry out and mess up your skin. What you need right now is gentle care and love.
The pimple somehow chose a home on your face. Send it away without force. Tension creates even more tension.
Now I want you to pull out a sheet of paper and a pen and write down three wonderful qualities you have. It can be anything. Whatever you choose. Under them write with BOLD – I have value.
Did you write them? Cool, I’m sure they’re great. Why don’t you share them in the comments if you want?
I’ll start first.
- I make people feel at ease around me.
- I never give up on my goals, even if I’m scared to start.
- I like my hair.
I have value!
I hope you liked my post. What you think of the aspirin mask. Are you for or against using it? Share in the comments.
